Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Gross & Net, provided by Platestory Innovations LLP. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a workspace, signing in, or otherwise using Gross & Net, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are entering into these terms on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business, and "you" refers to that business.

2. Description of the service

Gross & Net is a cloud-based platform that combines customer relationship management with double-entry accounting for event professionals. It lets you manage a sales pipeline, run events, raise quotes and invoices, track vendor bills and payments, and see per-event profit and loss. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

3. Accounts and responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, and for having the right to store any client or vendor information you add.
  • You must notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

4. Subscription and billing

  • Plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. A free plan may be offered with reduced limits.
  • Payment. Subscription payments are processed securely through Cashfree. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees through that processor.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund handling is described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • Taxes. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or to store or transmit unlawful content.
  • Attempt to breach tenant isolation, access another customer's data, or probe our security controls without authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the service except as expressly permitted.
  • Upload malware, or use the service to send spam or abusive communications.

6. Intellectual property

Platestory Innovations LLP owns all rights in the Gross & Net software, brand, and underlying technology. These terms do not grant you any right in our intellectual property other than the limited right to use the service while your subscription is active.

7. Ownership of your data

You own your data. The business records, financial data, and client information you put into your workspace remain yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, and display that data so we can operate the service for you, and to make backups. You can export your data at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While Gross & Net helps you keep books and track your business, it is a tool and not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing your records and for your own regulatory and tax filings. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platestory Innovations LLP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay fees, or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends, and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have under local law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Gross & Net after an update means you accept the revised terms.
