Refund & Cancellation Policy

Gross & Net can be paid for monthly, yearly, or bought outright as a licence. This policy explains how to cancel, what happens to your access, and how refunds are handled for each.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term lock-in. Once you cancel, your plan will not renew for the next billing period. A licence is not a subscription and is not cancelled — you have bought it. You may stop paying the yearly maintenance whenever you like; see below for what that means.

Access after you cancel

When you cancel, you keep full access to your paid plan until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. At the end of that period, your workspace moves to the free plan or is closed, depending on your choice, and your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you stop paying maintenance on a licence

Your licence stands and your books stay readable. What stops is the yearly maintenance and everything it pays for: statutory updates as GST and TDS rules change, and new features. You can resume it at any time. The maintenance figure is held for at least four years at a time; when it changes it reflects running costs, and we will tell you a full year before it applies to you.

Refunds

  • Monthly and yearly plans. Because plans are billed in advance and you retain access for the full period, we do not provide pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a period after a billing date.
  • Billing errors. If you were charged in error, for example a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation, we will refund the incorrect amount in full.
  • Discretionary refunds. If something goes clearly wrong on our side, contact us and we will make it right on a case-by-case basis.

How to request a refund

To request a refund for a billing error or to raise a concern, email us at hello@grossandnet.com from the email address on your account. Please include your workspace name and the date and amount of the charge so we can find it quickly.

Refund timelines

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through our payment processor, Cashfree. Once approved, refunds are typically processed within five to seven business days, though the exact time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
